Oksana Dyka Soprano

Born in Ukraine Oksana Dyka graduated at the Kiev Conservatory in 2004.

From 2003 to 2007 she was the main soloist at the Ukraine National Opera of Kiev.

In 2003 she won the prize of the Marseilles International Opera competition which landed her the part of Tosca at the National Opera of Montpellier in march 2005.

Also in 2005 Oksana obtained a great success as Tosca at the Estonian National Opera in Tallinn. In August of the same year she took part in the same production

at the Dalhalla Opera Festival in Sweden.

She made her debut as Desdemona in Verdi's Otello at the Estonian National Opera.

She has often sung in symphonic and chamber concerts. Her canadian debut was as a soloist in Shostakovich's 14th symphony with the orchestra "I Musici" in Montreal. It was a huge success so she also sang this symphony with the Padova Symphony Orchestra in Italy in 2007 and with the Odense Symphony Orchestra in Denmark in the same year.

She sang Elisabetta in Verdi's Don Carlo at the Teatro Regio in Turin, Leonora in Il Trovatore in the Circuito Lombardo, Madama Butterfly at the Queensland Opera in Brisbane (Australia) and in 2007 she sang in the New Years concerts with M° Slatkin and the Verdi Symphonic Orchestra singing Verdi's arias, also with the San Francisco Symphony, conducted by Micheal Tilson Thomas she sang in the part of the soprano Shostakovich's ring cycle from Jewish Folk Poetry and Verdi's Requiem with the Ljubljana Symphony Orchestra.

She sang Tosca at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome directed by Franco Zeffirelli, Verdi's Requiem in the scenic version at the Tampere Opera in Finland. She made her debut as Amelia (Simon Boccanegra) at the Estonian National Opera in Tallinn, Ariadne auf Naxos in Genoa, Il Trittico (Georgetta) in Frankfurt. She also sang Madama Butterfly at Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Tosca at Arena di Verona to great acclaim.

Recently obtained great reviews from public and critics singing Madama Butterfly in Graz and in Valencia.

Future engagements include: Tabarro at Opera Bastille, Attila in San Francisco and Seattle, Aida in Verona, Tosca and Don Carlo in Valencia under the direction of Z. Metha, Eugene Onegin (new production) in Los Angeles under the direction of James Colon, Tosca in Dresden, Pagliacci and Tosca at La Scala in Milan.
