Lillian Watson is considered an exceptional coloratura soprano. She has appeared on all major opera and concert stages in the world, in repertory ranging from Mozart to Strauss and Britten. Lillian is especially known for her fine interpretations of Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Despina in Cosi fan tutte. She has recorded for every major record label, with such distinguished conductors as Sir Georg Solti, Bernard Haitink, Sir Colin Davis, Sir Simon Rattle and Nikolaus Harnoncourt.
