IMG Artists Announces Tanja Dorn's Move to Hannover Office

New York, NY - November 24, 2009 - IMG Artists is pleased to announce that Tanja Dorn has been named Associate Director of the Conductors & Instrumentalists Division for Germany & North/South America. In her new capacity, she will operate from the company's Hannover office. The new role will become effective December 1st. She will continue to manage her current list of clients from the New York office's artist roster while further developing IMG Artists' artist management business in the German speaking countries.

Ms. Dorn joined IMG Artists in 2007 after starting her own agency, Tanja Dorn Artist Management. Previously, Ms. Dorn was an associate manager at CAMI, where she worked with an extensive roster of top performing artists. In addition, she served as the Artistic Director of Klavierhaus, where she produced over 50 recitals showcasing young artists. Ms. Dorn has also been artistic advisor for New York's Splendor of Florence Festival, and produced the Sounds of Modern Italy concert at Pace University. A native of Germany, Ms. Dorn studied the piano at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin, where she received her master's degree in piano performance, chamber music, and piano pedagogy. As a student, she was elected head of the student parliament and nominated as the first student board member of the Academy's Friends and Supporters Foundation. In this capacity, Ms. Dorn founded Europe's first student concert agency, called "Eisleriana" and initiated a biannual fundraising concert series in collaboration with Germany's Minister of Economics. As a performing pianist, she has served as an ambassador to her hometown, Mainz, and has performed throughout Europe, including an orchestral debut at the Great Hall of the Berlin Philharmonie.

IMG Artists freut sich, bekannt zu geben, dass Tanja Dorn zur Associate Director der Abteilung Conductors & Instrumentalists/Deutschland und Nord-/Lateinamerika ernannt wurde. In ihrer neuen Stellung wird sie von der Niederlassung des Unternehmens in Hannover aus tätig sein. Sie tritt ihre neuen Aufgaben zum 1. Dezember an. Frau Dorn trat IMG Artists 2007 nach der Eröffnung ihrer eigenen Agentur, Tanja Dorn Artist Management, bei. Davor war Frau Dorn Associate Manager bei CAMI, wo sie eine umfangreiche Liste von Künstlern der Spitzenklasse betreute. Außerdem war Frau Dorn Künstlerische Leiterin des Klavierhauses, wo sie junge Künstler in über 50 Aufführungen der Öffentlichkeit präsentierte. Darüber hinaus fungierte sie als künstlerische Beraterin für das Splendor of Florence Festival in New York und organisierte das Konzert Sounds of Modern Italy an der Pace Universität. Die Deutschstämmige studierte Klavier an der Hochschule für Musik „Hanns Eisler” in Berlin, wo sie ihren Master-Titel im Fach Klavier, Kammermusik und Klavierpädagogik erhielt. Als Studentin wurde sie zur Leiterin des Studentenparlaments gewählt und zum ersten studentischen Vorstandsmitglied der Friends and Supporters Foundation der Akademie ernannt. In dieser Funktion gründete Frau Dorn die erste Konzertagentur für Studenten in Europa namens „Eisleriana” und rief eine zweimal jährlich stattfindende Konzertserie zur Spendensammlung in Zusammenarbeit mit dem deutschen Wirtschaftsministerium ins Leben. Als Pianistin wurde sie zur Botschafterin ihrer Heimatstadt Mainz und trat europaweit auf, darunter auch bei einem Orchesterdebüt in der Großen Halle der Berliner Philharmonie.
