The Orchestral Touring division of the London office of IMG Artists is seeking an intern who is available from the end of June 2010, for a period of three months. Working closely with the entire team, this internship is a support position that involves a variety of administrative tasks relating to the overall management of current and forthcoming orchestral tours.
We are looking for candidates who possess a love and knowledge of classical music and proven administrative and computer skills. Applicants must also be self-motivated with excellent communication skills, possess a good attitude and the ability to take direction. Interns must have fluent written and spoken English, additional languages would be an advantage. In return, interns will gain invaluable experience and contacts. This is an expenses only paid position of up to £100 per week.
The internship scheme is ongoing and we will welcome applications for three month placements throughout 2010.

The Vocal division is currently seeking an intern to join the division for a three month period, starting date to be confirmed. The internship programme is ongoing, and applications are always welcome. At present we are seeking interns to join the Vocal division for 3 month periods throughout 2010.
This internship involves supporting the vocal managers in corresponding with promoters and clients, arranging auditions, helping with travel arrangements, as well as being responsible for diary management, website maintenance, and general day-to-day administrative duties.
We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated with excellent communication skills, who are able to prioritise a varied work load, pay attention to detail and are able to take direction and follow through on projects. Interns must have fluent written and spoken English, and preferably competence in additional languages. You must possess good computer skills, be well organised and possess a basic practical knowledge of opera. This is an expenses only paid position of up to £100 per week. In return, interns interested in an arts management career are provided with invaluable experience.

Semester-long internship program provides the opportunity for candidates interested in an arts management career to receive a complete overview of the workings of an artist management agency. Interns will assist in all phases of operation which may include organizing publicity materials; maintaining computer mailing lists; arranging artists' hotel and flight reservations; applying for international visas; organizing materials for regional booking conferences; and general administrative responsibilities. Specific responsibilities vary by Division. We are looking for bright, organized, detail-oriented individuals with excellent communication skills, who possess a good attitude and the ability to take direction and follow through on projects. Interns must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the fall and winter semesters and five full days a week during the summer. This is a non-paying internship, which must be counted as credit towards an undergraduate or graduate degree.

IMG Artists, one of the world's leaders in performing arts management, seeks a Managerial Assistant, reporting to the Associate Director and Vice President in the Conductors and Instrumentalists Division. Working with alarge degree of autonomy, this individual will be responsible for organizing and overseeing all the logistical arrangements for a list of artists including conductors, violinists, pianists and a string quartet.
Responsibilities include:
- Liaising between artist and presenter with regard to rehearsals, practice facilities, master classes, etc.
- Arranging travel and accommodation for each engagement
- Dealing with immigration issues, visas, tax issues, etc.
- Providing program copy and publicity materials to presenters
- Liaising with publicists and record labels
- Creating itineraries and schedules
- Maintaining artists’ performance calendars in Perfomania database
- Liaising with the finance department to track fees, commissions, invoices and receivables
Skills required are:
- Ability to juggle priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment, taking direction from two managers and following through on multiple projects which may occur simultaneously
- Positive attitude, self-motivation and grace under pressure
- Excellent organizational skills
- Detail sensitivity, speed and accuracy
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including grammar and proofreading
- Ability to work with a variety of styles and personalities
- Professional phone manner and demeanor
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Explorer and E-mail, and openness to learning additional software packages as needed
- Knowledge of classical music and of the performing arts field (repertoire knowledge helpful)
Two to three years of experience in a similar or related role is preferable. Knowledge of Spanish and/or additional languages preferred but not required.
